OVERHAUL ENGINES

The OVERHAUL of an engine is the maintenance intervention of greatest scope, in which the engine is disassembled piece by piece to be reconditioned and returned to its initial state of use by means of the appropriate assembly processes and the replacement of the engine’s wear parts. Due to this complexity, Niksom usually takes the engines to its facilities, where it has all the necessary means to carry out this work on engines of up to 3.60 MW of power. On occasions and in plants where downtime makes it unfeasible, Niksom can carry out OVERHAUL work on an exchange block, thus minimising plant downtime due to preventive maintenance of the engine.

ENGINE REFURBISHMENT

The reconditioning processcomprises the disassembly of the mechanical part, analysis and verification of the condition, cleaning of mechanical elements by ultrasound, dimensional checks and/or hydraulic tests, replacement of wear elements and resetting of the reconditioned element to zero hours.
The elements that are usually reconditioned in the SR MOTOR workshop are:
